Auvers-Sur-Oise is about 20 minutes from our port of Cergy.

It is the village where Van Gogh spent the last two months of his life.

He painted more than 90 paintings during that time.

He produced some of his best-known works during this time:

The church at Auvers, portrait of Dr. Cachet, black crows flying across a field.

The Auberge Ravoux where he rented a room still stands now is a restaurant,

the courtyard has an excellent chronological display of his life.

The Tourist Office around the corner from the Auberge

has an excellent 10 minute film on his life (in english on request 1€ p/p).

He and his brothers graves are in the cemetery 100 meters from the church.
